Last night (March 12), a Lil Wayne show at Florida's Nova Southeastern University ended abruptly after a DJ mishap sent Wayne into a rage. According to TMZ, Weezy got seven songs into his set before he was ready to drop his update of the O.T. Genasis song "CoCo." However, instead of playing a clean instrumental, the DJ played the original, complete with Genasis' vocals. An obviously frustrated Wayne tossed the microphone and stormed off stage. He did not return.

Yesterday had been an odyssey or Wayne before he even showed up at the venue. Though it was eventually revealed to be a prank, there were reports of a shooting in or around Weezy's Miami home. The initial word was that four people had been injured; however, Wayne's manager, Cortez Bryant, allowed police inside the home to search for both injured parties and gunman and nothing was found. There have also been reports that a similar false call was placed to Miami police regarding Wayne's home in the past few weeks.

Wayne's Tha Carter V is still hanging in limbo while he is in a stalemate with Bryan "Baby" Williams, his longtime friend, mentor and label boss at Cash Money. Sorry 4 The Wait 2, a stopgap effort to sate fans while they wait for the heavily anticipated album, featured several songs that take shots at Baby and Cash Money, including Wayne's version of "CoCo."
