Around Midnight, Kendrick Lamar unveiled the cover art and album title of his forthcoming LP through Instagram (see below).

The artwork is captivating, displaying what looks a bunch of men and children posing over a dead judge in front of the White House.

Last Friday (March 6) Kendrick sent out a tweet with a pre-order iTunes link revealing his new album's release date (March 23). Little is know about the sophomore LP. Judging from the iTunes link there are 16 songs on To Pimp a Butterfly, including “The Blacker The Berry,” which was released back last month and and a digital booklet that fans receive when they purchase. Rolling Stone revealed that Lamar is their next cover star. In the issue, Kdot reveals that "i" will be on the album and serves as a counter-point to a song titled "u."

It was previously reported that KDot played the album for Prince Jackson, the son of pop icon Michael Jackson, and Kendrick's little brother. There is also a fake tracklist being spread around, which Fader confirmed isn't real.

Kendrick went to Big Boy‘s show on Real 92.3 in Los Angeles and honored The Notorious B.I.G. on the day of his death with a powerful freestyle. Flowing over “Respect” and “The What” from Ready To Die and “Kick In The Door” from Life After Death, K.Dot shows once again why he is arguably the nicest lyricist in the game right now. He also discussed his new album and The Grammys, you can watch that here.

To Pimp a Butterfly is due out in less than two weeks.
