The 2015 NBA All-Star Game was held in Madison Square Garden in New York City last night (Feb. 15). The night started out right with a fantastic performance from Nas' Illmatic-classic “N.Y. State of Mind” and Christina Aguilera singing iconic New York theme songs like “On Broadway” and Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York.”

Oklahoma City Thunder Russell Westbrook must of been inspired by Nasty Nas performance because he was unstoppable on the court. Westbrook scored 41 points, one shy of the All-Star record. He would win the MVP trophy. The Western Conference beat the East 163-158 on Sunday night in the highest-scoring All-Star Game ever. The first half of the night was generally lackluster, with players showing zero effort on defense. The moment of the night came when Seth Curry threw up an alley-oop to Dirk Nowitzki who caught it for an easy slam (see below). Pretty route NBA play except Dirk is not very know for his dunking ability. He made sure people knew who made the play with his celebration by posing in Vince Carter's iconic 2000 pose when VC won the Dunk Contest.

Halftime was a treat. Ariana Grande performed during at the 2015 NBA All-Star Game with special guest Nicki Minaj. Grande was joined by Minaj to perform “Bang Bang."

The second half of the game was much more intense. James Harden, Jeff Teague, LeBron James, Westbrook and several other players were noticeably playing with a lot more aggression. Curry made a sick show that defies the law of physics (see below). Watch all of the dunks that from last night's game here.

But at the end of the night, the East just couldn't hit their open buckets. The biggest controversy of the night was New York Knicks Carmelo Anthony playing 30 minutes even though there's a strong chance he won't play a regular season game for the rest of the year. He struggled to get 14 points on 6-of-20 shooting for the East and has been nursing a sore knee for much of the season Melo may opt for surgery with the team owning the NBA's worst record. The problem now is after play for so long, if he shuts it down for the season, it would look horrible for his image. Things are about to get interesting in New York.

Funny moment happened post-game. Toronto Raptors PG Kyle Lowry told XXL his favorite songs off of Drake's If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late . Take a look at his choices below.
