Does Snoop Dogg know what 'branding' is? In the new trailer for his forthcoming album, Bush, the legendary Long Beach rapper continues his easy glide into middle age. Where he was once the smooth-talking harbinger of death and too-long strings of condoms, Snoop is now a maestro of funk, here to keep the party going just long enough for the 35-plus crowd to feel satisfied. (There are still probably condoms involved, just fewer.)

At press time, little is known about the record, save for a brief listen to a song called "Peaches N Cream," widely assumed to be the project's lead single. The album is expected to feature contributions from Charlie Wilson and Stevie Wonder. An exact release date has yet to be announced, but Bush is rumored to be dropping some time this spring.

Pharrell has had quite the run over the past two years, exerting his commercial dominance with what seems to be a never-ending stream of hit singles. "Happy," the best-selling song on Apple's iTunes charts in 2014, is being adapted into a series of children's books. Prior to that song (and last year's solo LP Girl), the Neptune flooded airwaves with the 1-2 punch of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" in 2013. As for Snoop, he seems to have been locked in the studio recently; in addition to Bush, he has been completing his second collaboration with Dam-Funk, 7 Nights Of Funk. The two released a pair of songs in advance of the project.
