Suge Knight didn't know he was involved in a fatal hit-and-run, killing Terry Carter and injuring Cle "Bone" Sloan. Sources tell TMZ that Suge's defense is that he feared for his life and frantically left the parking lot of Tam’s Burgers because he was being assaulted by two to four men while he was in his truck. Knight claims that he had no idea that he was involved in an hit-and-run. The source states that the former CEO of Death Row Records was frail because of his previous injuries. Suge passed out recently and was sent to the hospital due to a blood clot in his lung. Before that he was shot several times at Chris Brown’s pre-VMA party in August 2014.

Knight’s lawyer, James Blatt, told reporters last week that the hit-and-run was an accident and only happened because Suge feared for his life. Even if Suge gets off on the hit-and-run charges, police reportedly believe that Suge tried to intentionally run over Sloan, killing Carter in the process.

As more and more news about the incident comes out, the case becomes weirder. Yesterday (Feb. 1) it was reported that authorities have obtained video footage of the incident. However, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department will not speak on what exactly is on the footage. Homicide detectives are currently analyzing the tape for clues. Knight claims he came to the the commercial set of Straight Outta Compton at the request of Dr. Dre who allegedly wanted to end their long-standing beef. However, a source from Dre's camp said the super producer never asked Suge to come to the set to make amends.

Carter’s daughter, Meredith, is denying claims that this incident was an accident. She states that the fatal hit-and-run was nothing short of a killing. “This is cold murder,” said Carter. “[Suge] is a cold hard murderer, and my dad was a victim. [Suge] is the most evil person in the world.”
