Drake's new mixtape If You're Reading This Now It's Too Late just broke Spotify's stream record. If You're Reading This It's Too Late had 23.6 million streams in its first four days of release, according to Buzzfeed. Drake held the record previously. 2013's Nothing Was the Same had the record with 15.6 million streams in its first week. Billboard reports that If You're Reading This will sell over 500,000 copies in its first week. Last week, according to estimates from Hits Daily Double, Drake’s project was predicted to sell somewhere in the neighborhood of 500,000 units over the weekend. Today HDD is reporting that the 17-track tape is estimated to move 497,602 copies opening week (541,585 total with streams). For reference, the biggest opening week a rap album enjoyed in 2014 was J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, which moved some 371,000 unites.

Drake's surprise mixtape caught everyone off guard this past weekend. Twitter went nuts when it dropped and gave a lot of their opinions on the album. One Drizzy fan recently took it to the next level by getting a huge tattoo of the cover (words) from Drake’s recent mixtape release, If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late. The picture surfaced on the ‘Net of a man, who appears to be at a tattoo parlor, with the freshly pressed album title inked on the back side of his neck. XXL broke down the numbers and compiled some of the backend data on the project to show off all the effort lying underneath. Read that here.
