Chance The Rapper hasn't taken the typical route of today's successful rappers by putting out mixtapes, features and loose songs galore, but the XXL Freshman is making huge moves on the low. It was recently announced the eclectic Chicago MC will be one of the headliners for this year's Pitchfork Music Festival. The weekend long event will take place Friday, July 17 - Sunday, July 19 at Chicago's Union Park. All three night's concerts will be headlined by Chance as well as Wilco and Sleater-Kinney.

Along with Chance, other urban acts hitting the stage at PMF 2015 include A$AP Ferg, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib, Run The Jewels, Vic Mensa, iLoveMakonnen, Vince Staples and others.

While Chance's 2013 mixtape Acid Rap garnered him a major audience, he has since been slow-cooking his debut LP which is expected to have appearances from J. Cole, Frank Ocean and Andre 3000. But before that drops his first priority is his album with The Social Experiment titled, Surf. While he has toured and collaborated with the likes of Ab-Soul, Action Bronson, Twista and Childish Gambino, he clearly seems to not want to oversaturate his product while finding his musical tone. In the mean time, he's tearing down stages.
