Beck isn't mad at Kanye West  for claiming that Beyoncé should have won  Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammys last night (Feb. 8).

The Morning Phase singer took home the Grammy for his 12th studio album after beating  Queen Bey's Beyoncé. Kanye jokingly rushed on stage while Beck was accepting the award, but didn't say anything. That didn't stop 'Ye from sharing his opinion, however. He later told E! that Beck "needs to respect artistry, and he should have given his award to Beyoncé."

While talking to US Weekly at the Universal Music Group after party, the 44-year old singer was humbled by his recent win, admiring the other artists he beat in the category. When asked how he felt about Yeezy coming on stage, Beck said, "I was just so excited he was coming up. He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?" He even invited Yeezy back on stage before delivering his acceptance speech.

Beck also isn't mad that Kanye expected Bey to win because he did as well. "I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyoncé!" he explained. As for Ye's comments about real artistry, "You can't please everybody, man." he added."I still love him and think he's a genius. I aspire to do what he does."

Although Bey didn't win Album Of The Year, she took home three Grammys last night for Best Surround Sound Album and Best R&B Song and Performance for "Drunk In Love" with Jay Z.
