fatal hit-and-runStraight Outta Compton

according to the L.A. Times

Knight’s lawyer, James Blatt, told reporters it was an accident and Suge feared for his life. He seemed confident when he told TMZ that the murder charge will not be filed because Suge was acting in self defense. Blatt said he's sure the charges will be gone by early next week (Watch below).

TMZ is now reporting that authorities do not believe Suge was intending to kill Terry Carter, a friend of the hip-hop mogul and alleged passenger of Suge when they arrived at the movie set before the incident took place. The cops do believe that the target was actor Cle “Bone” Sloan and even though Suge accidentally killed Carter, that's enough to charge Mr. Knight with murder. Witnesses say after Suge and Bone were in two physical altercation, one on set of Straight Outta Compton and one at the Tam's Burger. The latter is when the former CEO of Death Row gunned the truck in reverse twice, making sure he hit his target. It is still unclear what sparked the altercation.

The Game, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre were among the rappers on set for the film. However, a rep from Ice Cube's camp sent a statement to XXL saying "Cube has no comment. He was not there." Suge Knight's bail is $2 million dollars.

Knight’s truck was found in a car park in Westwood abandoned. The truck was about 20 miles north of where the incident happened. At one point before Knight turned himself in, TMZ reported that southern California authorities sent out a message to all officers to “be on the lookout” for Knight and considered him armed and dangerous.

XXL will keep you posted as the story progresses.
