Nick Cannon Officially Files For Divorce From Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been split up for quite a while now, but Cannon finally made the breakup official by taking his divorce papers to the court house. According to reports from TMZ and Daily Mail, Cannon and Carey hashed out a settlement in early December and Cannon filed his divorce papers on Dec. 12. Carey recently inked a lucrative deal for a residency in Las Vegas but it is being reported Cannon won't see a dime from those shows. Reports say that the two have a combined fortune estimated at more than $325 million. The couple wed in April of 2008 after dating for just six weeks and have three-year-old twins, Monroe and Morrocan. In a recent string of tweets, Cannon claimed that he "will never say anything negative about Mariah Carey. We are forever a family rooted in love."
