Joey Bada$$'s highly-anticipated album B4.Da.$$ is dropping next week and the Pro Era general's media run is getting under way. Yesterday, the Brooklyn native dropped by Bloomberg TV to discuss the album and how he got his start as an MC. As the conversation progressed, Joey was asked about the now infamous photo of Malia Obama wearing a Pro Era t-shirt and the controversy the selfie set off.

"So I was in Australia and I pretty much woke up one morning and I look at my phone and I seen a whole bunch of my friends posting this picture of this girl in a Pro Era shirt," explained Joey. "I was like what's so special about this? I didn't even know who she was....As I started reading the captions, I was like, 'ohhhhhhhhhhh!.' Then I wasted no time, I reposted it myself."

Joey, Statik Selektah, and Kirk Knight also dropped by the Red Bull Music Academy Radio show to talk B4.Da.$$ and what it's like being in the studio together. Check out the full interview below:
