Original Story: It seems like Joey Bada$$'s name isn't just lip service. Friday night, while on a stop on his Australian tour, Bada$$ was arrested for allegedly punching a security guard in the face.

The New York native was headlining the Falls Festival near Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia. A security guard stopped him to check his credentials as he was about to go on stage, telling police that he thought that the 19 year old rapper was an unauthorized person. According to police, Bada$$ punched the security guard in the face, ultimately breaking his nose. The guard was also treated for other facial injuries before being taken to the hospital.

After the show, Joey was arrested and spent the night in police custody. He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and appeared the following day in Lismore Local Court.
