You don't have to go very deep down the rabbit hole to find The Cold Vein. The first full-length release on Def Jux, Cannibal Ox's debut album was hailed wide and far on college campuses and crowded subway cars. It's a classic the way only albums this confounding can be: inscrutable to the masses, irresistible to the few. Vast Aire and Vordul Mega were cult heroes, rapping in fragmented, economized phrases ("C4 blew the door, Number 8/ Summer face/ Tank top with a knot/ Number 9 said 'Run the place'/ Took my girl's stereo, CDs/ Plus the tapes"). Then, as shadow-dwelling savants often do, they disappeared.

Now, the duo is back, with a new album slated for Mar. 3. Blade Of The Ronin, the followup effort from the Ox, features Elzhi, U-God, and DOOM, among others. Blade will be released on IGC records.

Check out the tracklist below, and be on the lookout for the first full offering from the legendary duo in nearly 15 years.
