Bobby Shmurda's Brooklyn gun case was indeed dismissed by the Brooklyn District Attorney office, but he will still face the charge in court. The charge was dismissed by the Brooklyn D.A office because it's a procedural step in order to have the charge apart of the Special Narcotics' case, which was explained exclusively to XXL by Kait Cornell of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office.

The Brooklyn gun charge is one of the many indictments made by Special Narcotics and Shmurda will still face that charge in court. It was previously reported that Shmurda, real name Ackquille Pollard, would have the case where he allegedly shot into a crowd outside a Brooklyn barbershop in June 2014 dropped. However, the case referred in earlier reports is incorrect. The correct Brooklyn gun charge is not the barbershop shooting but an arrest made by the police where they found a gun on the Flatbush MC after obtaining a search warrant in June 2014, which was around the same time of the shooting. Bobby Shmurda is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow, Jan. 29. The lawyer that will be representing Bobby in court will not be Howard Greenberg. The rapper will be defended by Kenneth J. Montgomery, Esq. of KJM PLLC.

Shmurda and his GS9 crew were arrested in December and charged with nearly 70 crimes, including murder, conspiracy and gun possession. Shmurda is currently being held in Manhattan Detention Complex on a $2 million bail. If convicted, Shmurda could face 25 years in jail. Fans got to hear the Epic signee for the first time since his arrest in the beginning of "Computers (remix)" by Migos, a cut off the Shmigo Gang tape. Listen to the song and you will hear a recording of the "Hot Nigga" rapper behind bars.

XXL will keep you updated as the case progress.
