G-Unit is back and, hopefully, bulletproof as ever. 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo and Kidd Kidd have announced their return for Mar. 3, when they'll let loose their new EP, The Beast Is G-Unit. The project will include "Bring My Bottles."

It's been a full decade since G-Unit took over the world. After 50 Cent's massive Get Rich Or Die Trying took over cars, clubs and airwaves in 2003, the whole crew--mostly sans Yayo, who was still locked up at the time--took center stage. Their debut, Beg For Mercy, was one of the most unapologetically New York rap albums available for retail purchase during that period. It melded gritty boom-bap ("G'd Up") with Dr. Dre- and Scott Storch-sanctioned keys--remember "Poppin' Them Thangs"? The unit had hits in "Stunt 101" and "Wanna Get To Know You"; the quartet seemed primed for sustained success.

But after that first round of solo albums (Lloyd Banks' The Hunger For More, Young Buck's Straight Outta Ca$hville and Tony Yayo's Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon), the critical and commercial consensus seemed to evaporate. The Unit became fragmented after The Game joined, then was excommunicated; soon, even the original members had splintered off in their own directions. Last year's The Beauty Of Independence was a welcome revival of their sound, and The Beast Is seems primed to take us further down the nostalgia wormhole.

The tracklist is as follows:

1. Ballin’
2. I’m Grown
3. Bring The Bottles
4. Doper Than My Last One
5. Boy Boy
6. Choose One
