We have sad news this morning in the hip-hop community. A$AP Yams has passed away, according to reports from Mob members A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg. He was 26 years old. Currently little is known about the nature of the passing with Rocky and Ferg only offering heartfelt condolences for their later brother. Many speculate the death might have something to do with a drug overdose as Yams openly had issues with substance abuse in the past. However, those rumors are being denied by some close to the situation.

Yams, born, Steven Rodriguez, was a founding member of the popular Harlem outfit and had a large impact in the group's success and the solo successes of Ferg and Rocky, playing both front line and behind the scenes roles as rapper and manager.

RIP A$AP Yams
