The last handful of years have been peppered with anecdotes about terrible Lauryn Hill concerts: late starts, no-shows, the infamous jazz arrangements. Now, that all seems like a distant memory.

Ms. Hill recently played the Brooklyn Bowl for a performance—which we attended—that will be available on demand through the end of December. In the only available footage, she tears through a vital, vicious version of "Ready Or Not."

As for her recent creative work from this decade, "Black Rage (sketch)" feels incredibly pertinent this week.
