Atlanta native 2 Chainz is cognizant of the fact that Atlanta's music scene is teeming with young talent, and in an interview with Revolt TV, he's announced his plans to show off this talent on his next mixtape, which will be entitled Tru Jack City. In the interview, Chainz says: "Top of the year is the rollout of the whole campaign with my third album in three years, and then I’ve got this mixtape called Tru Jack City. It’s my mixtape, but it’s for up-and-coming rappers in Atlanta.”

Some of the artists that Tity Boi plans to include on the tape are Bankroll Fresh, Young Dolph, Travis Poter, Peewee Longway, Cap 1, Skooly, and Short Dawg. Speaking about the sound of the tape, Chainz said "It;s real ratchet, it's real street. It's catered for the core." He continued by saying: "We're a crew full of individuals. It's one thing about TRU. It's about being the real you.. We just putting on. We got something to bring to the table and we got something to say."
