Rick Ross Says Tink’s Version Of “Movin’ Bass” Is Not The Original Version

With the recent release of his seventh studio album Hood Billionaire, Rick Ross has been on the move doing everything possible to promote his latest project and boast why it should be in your disk rotation. One of the tracks getting a lot of attention is Rozay's single "Movin' Bass" featuring Jay Z. Ross originally released the song on the Funkmaster Flex Show, featuring just Hov doing the hook and Ross supplying the verses. However, Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club got a hold of another Movin' Bass" version featuring Timbaland's artist Tink after the super producer played a snippet for them.

Ross cleared the air to deny the Timbo's statement. In a recent interview with Sway Calloway and MTV's Rob Markman for a Def Jam special Google Hangout, the Miami rapper revealed that his version—with just Jay Z—is the actual original version of "Movin' Bass."

"You know Timbaland released his version that I was real disappointed in hearing. You know me and Jay created the original version. That's one of the records we vibed up when we had a couple sessions you know what I mean. Of course Timbaland produced it, you know had the production on it for a little while, and I went by the studio before and he played me the version and I was like, 'I see what you did, but chill on that' ya mean we were doing our thing on that."

Ross went on to mention how he expects Timbaland to publicly clear up the misconceptions connected with the songs. He admits they did speak on the matter and it's still "all love" between them, but Ross remained adamant about Timbaland clarifying the statements he made.
