Last year Joey Bada$$, Akomplice Clothing and The J Dilla Foundation collaborated on a special project. The collaboration would honor the memory and legacy of J Dilla with 100% of the profits donated to provide instruments and music lessons to the youth.

After a successful release, the collaboration resulted in the form of $10,000 worth of musical production equipment donated by Joey Bada$$ to his former high school, The Edward R. Murrow High School. In the video above, Joey, along with his Pro Era brothers, walk throughout the hallways of his former high school taking pictures with students and teachers. We also see that the donation will be put to good use through a freshly minted music production program at the school.

The next city set to receive a donation from the Joey Bada$$ x Akomplice Clothing x The J Dilla Foundation project will be Detroit. Stay tuned for more details on the next give back, but for now check out the video clip of Joey going back to school for a good cause.
