Denver Nuggets Ty Lawson Doesn’t Want The “Lil B Curse”
Wordsworth: I didn’t like the Justin Bieber record. Didn’t Lil B do that record too?
I know Lil B name drops a celebrity on every track. He has “Katy Perry."
Wordsworth: Whatever the Lil B ones were. I didn’t like none of those.
Punchline: So those were your worst?
Wordsworth: Yeah those were my worst. Any of his. The Lil B ones have been bad. As far as another name one, I really think I stopped listening to those. Like when I would see a name one, I would just be like, “I’m not even messing with that.” So, I don’t have a favorite. I would say that hearing those Lil B ones made me good on that name stuff.
Masta Ace: The record I’m saying is Gary Coleman, but it’s actually “Big Homie.”
Punchline: Yeah, the “Big Homie” record with Puff and Ross.
Masta Ace: I like that record. They say Gary Coleman, but that’s not really the name of the record.
Punchline: It’s basically a Ross record. But for me, my worst one is, I’d probably go for French Montana’s “Ocho-Cinco.” I never liked that record. I’m in the club all the time. I hear it all the time. It goes in one ear and out the other. Now, my favorite one is probably somebody’s worst. I’ll go with “Shabba Ranks” A$AP Ferg. I used to hate the record, but it grew on me.
Wordsworth: Yeah I would say I liked that joint. I liked the “Shabba Ranks” one. That’s my favorite.
With the NBA season finally here, Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson joined Reddit for its popular "Ask Me Anything" series to connect with fans who have questions about his career and life. During the session, a user asked Lawson who he listens to, to which Lawson replied with "lil B... i don't want that curse he put on kd." "KD," of course, is NBA superstar Kevin Durant who has been battling the "Lil B Curse" for years now. Lawson was more than likely kidding but with the way Durant's offseason has shaken out, the "Lil B Curse" continues to thrive.
