Nicki Minaj Breaks Up With Longtime Boyfriend Safaree Samuels

This year has not been a good one for celeb relationships. First there was Nick & Mariah, then there was Wiz & Amber, and now according to TMZ, Nicki has reportedly broken up with her longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels, confirming rumors that spread earlier this week.

According to the TMZ report, Nicki broke off the 14 year relationship because he became uncontrollably jealous of Nicki's success, and wanted some of the success for himself. In addition, the report also states that the pair had an arrangement, where Nicki was the breadwinner, and he was supposed to be the backup singer/hype man/personal assistant, an arrangement that Safaree grew increasingly uncomfortable with. This led to Safaree becoming hostile towards the "Anaconda" rapper, hostility that Nicki reciprocated.

"The final straw," according to TMZ, was when Safaree didn't show up to one of Nicki's shows, which left her scrambling for a hype man. When she confronted him, Safaree "went crazy."

Well, at least we still have Bey and Jay.
