Young Thug’s Ferguson Remarks At The BET Hip-Hop Awards Pissed A Lot Of People Off
Young Thug may never go back to St. Louis again after not taking a stance on the events going on in Ferguson, Missouri and coming off as materialistic.
In an interview with Bossip at the 2014 BET Awards, Thugga was asked about the following about the death of Michael Brown and the ensuing protests in Ferguson, Missouri, "They're a doing a special on Mike Brown and the Ferguson situation. What do think needs to be changed in the way black men are policed in America?"
To which the Cash Money MC responded, ""Leave that up with the critics and the laws and all that other shit. We having fun, we iced out, we having money. That's how we doing it."
Once social media caught wind of the statement, Thugga received threats to both his business and well-being:
