Pras has his sites set on buying iconic New York real estate. Since getting back from his trip to North Korea, the rapper has joined the $2.2 billion bidding war for the illustrious Plaza Hotel.

Despite being caught in the middle of a child support battle, the two-time Grammy winner has teamed up with a group—including sports agent David Sugarman—to bid on the hotel. They are also looking into purchasing the Dream Downtown and London’s Grosvenor House hotel.

Imprisoned Sahara Group chairman Subrata Roy is selling the three extravagant properties. It has been reported that the Sultan of Brunei is a favorite to gain the hotels.

A source close to Pras and Sugarman told Page Six, “They are part of a group of four who have submitted $2.2 billion for the three hotels. They confirmed they have $100 million deposited in escrow and proof of funds larger than $2.6 billion. They say their bid was met with a favorable response and they expect things to move quickly.”

The former Fugee member is currently embroiled in a child support battle with the mother of his 3-year-old son. She is asking for $3,000 to $7,000 a month.
