Today, Sept. 6, marks the birthday of Queens MC, N.O.R.E, who now turns 41.

The founding member of the rap duo Capone-N-Noreaga, the group dropped their critically acclaimed debut LP, The War Report, in 1997. CNN embodied their city's thriving rap style with brash lyrics, chant-worthy hooks and dark, gritty production The super thug would go on to see solo success releasing six albums including his gold debut, N.O.R.E. in 1998. Songs like "Superthug", "Banned from T.V." and "Nothin'" made the Queens MC a living legend in the rap game.

The duo would follow up War Report with War Report 2 in 2010, which N.O.R.E. called "musically a better album" and as of today, the solo rapper's last project was his 2016 album, Drunk Uncle. N.O.R.E. has also foundsuccess in the podcast world with his podcast Drink Champs alongside Miami disc jockey DJ EFN.

Last year, N.O.R.E. teamed up with Pharrell recently to drop off the end-of-summer banger "Uno Mas." In 2018, he continued his music-making ways when he dropped his 5E album, an LP that includes features from Fabolous, Tory Lanez, Fat Joe and more.
