Since coming home from jail, it seems as if Chris Brown has, for the better, turned a new page in his life. For years, Chris Brown and Drake had a beef with each other that ultimately resulted in the infamous bottle throwing incident at an NYC nightclub. Though it seemed like the two superstars would never get along, Brown and Drizzy were seen in the studio together earlier in the summer and rumors popped up that the two were planning on performing together. While sitting down with Sway on MTV News, Breezy discussed squashing past beefs and working things out with Drake.

“I wanted to be able to bring light to the situation and just grow up," Brown told Sway. "I’m 25 and I’m not getting younger. You can’t walk around holding grudges, looking over your shoulder and being negative all the time. I’m tired of being looked at as the aggressor, so I just wanted to show my maturity.”

That sounds great, but what about fans who are hoping to hear an actual song from the two?

“Working on music is something we’re gonna continuously try to do and make happen,” said Brown. “I know it’ll be a big thing for the fans if they hear a song—but it has to be the right song, for both of us, at the end of the day...When we were in the studio [Drake] was like, ‘Oh, man, I need to have my studio like this,”’ Brown continued. “My vibe is a little different — I like to have a party. It’s like the club in my studio with 15 or 20 girls, a couple of my homies, drinks and everybody’s having fun. I just get the vibe off the energy from them.”

He also spoke on the Ray Rice's domestic abuse situation that has been the number one topic in news since video footage of the incident with his now-wife Janay Rice was leaked by TMZ this past Monday (Sept. 8).

“To Ray, or anybody else — because I’m not better than the next man — I can just say I’ve been down that road. I deal with situations and I’ve made my mistakes too, but it’s all about how you push forward and how you control yourself.”

Chris Brown was sentenced to five years of probation for assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, in 2009.
