Brooklyn rhymer Papoose has plenty to celebrate right now after his wife Remy Ma finally got out of prison last week after six years behind bars. He's also enjoying a return to prominence of sorts; after a long delay, his debut album, The Nacirema Dream, came out last March, and he's been staying in the headlines with several well-placed quotes and freestyles aimed at the likes of Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean and Jay Z, among others. But he's also been hard at work on the followup to his debut, and Pap told XXL yesterday that his sophomore LP is on the way before the end of the year.

"I got my second album I'm gonna be putting out called You Can't Stop Destiny," Papoose said. "I'm working on that right now. I've got more of a clear head now that all this [Remy's release from prison] is over with."

The album would've been here sooner, but some of the circus surrounding Remy's release—which wound up being delayed by a day due to a phone infraction last month—put Papoose out of album mode. Now with his wife back at his side, he's hopping back in the booth to put the finishing touches on YCSD.

"Still working on it now," he said. "It was supposed to come out in July, but I pushed it back. I had to, things were just too crazy. But I'm finalizing now, I'm starting to get back into the groove, and I'm gonna get it out there real soon. Definitely before the end of the year, though. Definitely."

As for a collab with Remy? That could be in the works, too. But any info on Remy's post-prison plans are being closely guarded for now.
