Mathew Knowles Suggests Beyonce And Jay Z Circulated Divorce Rumors To Boost Ticket Sales

Are Hov and Queen Bey tricking us all? That's what Beyonce's father is saying.

In light of Beyonce and Jay-Z's picture perfect moment at the VMAs last Sunday, Beyonce's father and former manager, Matthew Knowles, made the claim that the power couple were purposely circulating the rumors of a possible divorce in order to boost ticket sales for their On The Run Tour, a tour which concluded their North American stops in early August.

While on a Houston radio show earlier this week, Matthew Knowles said that the rumors are hyped to “sometimes ignite the tour," and adding: “It's called a Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot of times." When asked by hosts Roula Christie and Ryan Chase of Houston radio station 104.1 KRBE if his youngest daughter Solange, and Jay-Z "knew" that their now infamous elevator fight was being recorded and if "they wanted to get it out there", Matthew replied: "All I know is the Jedi mind trick. Everyone's talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange's album sales went up 200 percent!"

There is currently nobody else who can corroborate Matthew's claims, but he is sure right about one thing; the tour is making money. According to reports, the tour is projected to be one of the highest grossing tours of all time when taking into account the average amount grossed per show, which is projected to be at a staggering $5 million.—Marvin Jules
