9th Wonder And Phonte Will Be Honored At NCCU

9th Wonder and Phonte—two-thirds of the hip-hop group Little Brother—will be honored in their home state of North Carolina soon. North Carolina Central University plans to recognize the producer and rapper along with a list of other alumni for contributions at the second annual Forty Under Forty Awards Gala on Sept. 12. Their alma mater is very excited for the opportunity to highlight some its most successful students

“NCCU alumni are doing amazing work in virtually every field, but these 40 are special because they have achieved so much so early,” said Harriet Frink Davis, Ph.D., vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement in a press release. “This celebration recognizes their hard work and dedication as well as their outstanding accomplishments, which will inspire NCCU students and graduates for years to come.”
