Starz's drama series Power—produced by 50 Cent—delivered solid ratings. The season finale doubled the viewership of the show's premiere. Starz revealed that the final episode of Power's first season snagged 2.5 million viewers over the weekend.

Power averaged 4 million viewers an episode once additional platforms like Starz on Demand and Starz Play are included according to the network. The show also drew 71% of its audience coming from African-American households. Only HBO’s Game Of Thrones and True Blood were the only premium cable programs to draw a larger Black audience.

The Courtney Kemp Agboh created series seemed destined to be successful. After the series premiered in June, Starz ordered the second season which will hit the air in 2015.
