Eric Wright Jr. may have been disappointed that he wasn’t chosen to play his father in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic but that didn’t stop him from finding a way to contribute. Lil Eazy-E recently told Rolling Stone that he is cool with Jason Mitchell, the actor portraying his father in Straight Outta Compton, and has even started assisting him with the role.

"Jason has come to my grandmother's house where I was born and raised, where my father was born and raised and where N.W.A started," Lil E said. "I reached out to him to give him the support and any advice he needs. He has a big burden on his shoulders to bring forth the character and legacy of my father and the legacy of N.W.A, period."

TMZ reported earlier this week that Lil E was pissed that Ice Cube had cast his own son for the movie but not him to portray his own father. He now claims that what he said was misquoted.

"I'm not upset about [the casting],” he said. “What Cube did was a great thing and a loving father, that you're supposed to do for your family and your legacy."

Lil E said that he respected Cube’s decision and still looks at him as an idol aside from his dad.Though he’s not holding any grudges he explained to Rolling Stone that "I wish I could have got [the part]."
