Trey Songz Turns Up The Temperature During Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2014 Performance

Trey Songz reiterated some truths in his Summer Jam performance. A shirtless Songz being an instant crowd pleaser is one of them. Another is the fact that Chris Brown is missed.

Songz had the audience singing along to songs like "Dive In" and "Neighbors Know My Name" before suddenly dropping "Paranoid" and bringing Ty Dolla $ign on to the stage. The two lady killers then paid tribute to Brown by running through "Loyal," which is Brown's most recent song to crack the Hot 100's top 20.

"Say free CB," Trey Songz sang. The crowd responded right along. The moment was also a prescient one, too. Brown was released from prison early on Monday after serving 108 days for violating probation with a fight that occurred in Washington D.C. earlier this year, according to TMZ.

The dedication didn't take away that this was Songz's moment, as the crowd was rocking with him with "Na Na" and "Bottoms Up" sans Nicki Minaj.
