Pharrell Honored With Key To Virginia Beach

Add Pharrell to the list of musicians who have been honored with the key to their hometown. The super producer who hails from Virginia Beach, Virginia was recently honored by Mayor Will Sessoms with the distinction. Yesterday, P took to Twitter to show off his accolades and thank the mayor for the recognition. "I'm unbelievably honored to receive a key to my hometown city of Virginia Beach. Thank you @VBmayor," he posted.

Besides one recent setback, the last year and a half for Skateboard P have been filled with nothing but W's in the form of awards, No. 1 hits, epic performances and partnerships. Pharrell joins Dr. Dre as hit-making legends who have been bestowed with the key to their hometowns in the last month. Pharrell will kick off the European leg of his Dear GIRL tour this fall.
