50 Cent’s recent activities have got hip-hop paying attention to him again. During the album promotion of Animal Ambition, Fiddy dropped a song every week to build anticipation for his fifth studio LP. He took it a step further when him and his reunited G-Unit crew shut down Webster Hall with a slew of hits. Tickets that were sold included a copy of the album, which contributed to his first week sales.

Animal Ambition, which was his first LP independently distributed, debuted at No. 4 with 47,000 copies sold. This marks his sixth top 10 LP after 2009’s Before I Self Destruct landed at No. 5 with 160,000 units sold. Elsewhere on the charts, Michael Jackson’s Xscape moves roughly 25,000 copies, while Iggy Azalea’s The New Classic drops down to No. 15 with 17,000 copies.
