Looks like the plea bargain didn't go so well. Chris Brown was back in court yesterday afternoon in hopes of striking up a deal to eliminate the probation violation he obtained in relation to the 2009 assault case involving Rihanna. Brown stuck with the honesty policy and admitted to violating his probation. The judge, however, wasted no time shutting down any act of leniency toward the "Loyal" singer, ordering he remain in jail for one year.

The Virginia native, who unfortunately had to spend his 25th birthday in jail, was credited the 116 days spent in rehab, as well as, the 59 days spent in jail, leaving Brown 131 more days to spend behind bars. The judge also ordered Brown to attend therapy sessions two times a week and submit to random drug tests three times a week.

The violation could have earned Brown up to four years in prison,  but the judge took into account his recent bipolar diagnosis could have led to the sudden outburst of violence.

Brown will be back in court for the D.C. assault case on June 25.
