The Black Hippy Album could be coming soon, but might have to wait until after Kendrick Lamar drops his new album. While at New York premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 MTV caught up with the good kid, m.A.A.d city rapper and here’s what he said.

"Yeah, Black Hippy, we're moving around man. They'll be getting something soon. They might get a few early freestyles or something, 'cause I know fans are heated for us."

Lamar, who appears on the movie’s lead track “It’s on Again,” is also working on his second project, which according to TDE CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith is expected to drop this September. As for the Black Hippy project with fellow label mates Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and ScHoolboy Q, there is no set date.

"I'm in the studio now with ideas and things like that and just seeing where it takes me. I look at each project as a journey," said the rapper of second LP. "I couldn't give a stable idea of what I'm doing, but it will definitely be a deal." –Chris M. Garner
