When asked about Jay's past beefs by VLad TV, specifically Nas, Memphis Bleek confessed that he was the one that started it. He attributed the beef with "he say/she say" when a friend mistakenly inform Bleek that Nas dissed him on a DJ Clue mixtape. Which Bleek countered with in his hit "Mind Right." Those shots then lead to Nas responding with on the “Stillmatic” freestyle name dropping Jay Z, Beanie Sigel, and other Roc-A-Fella rappers. Which lead to "Takeover" and the rest is history.
