HBO hired 10 hip-hop and latin-music artists to rap about the popular TV series Game of Thrones. With the increase popularity of Hip-Hop and it's huge influence on pop culture, the network believes that these artists will increase their popularity and encourage more rap fans to watch the show. The plan is to put out a 10-song mixtape called Catch the Throne and will be released online this Friday (March 7).

Hip-Hop artists to be included on the mixtape are Wale, Common, Big Boi and Bodega Bamz. The show wants to expand their demographic and appeal more to multicultural audience. "Our multicultural audiences are a very important part of our subscribers, and we don't want to take them for granted," said Lucinda Martinez, HBO's senior vice president for multicultural marketing.

The fourth season of Game of Thrones airs on April 6, 2014 on HBO. Winter is coming.
