Last night was another crazy SXSW experience, though luckily it came with a lot less drama and fewer problems than the sad and horrific occurrences of the night before. But that doesn't mean it came with any less intrigue—the showcases may not have had the glitz and glamour of a Kanye West and Jay Z collaboration, but there was still plenty to see and get down with. Luckily, XXL is holding you down.

The Woodie Awards

The Woodie Awards are always fun—last year MGK and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis held things together—but this year things got cranked up another notch. Lil Wayne was there to accept an award, Wiz Khalifa made an appearance to present another, and Iggy Azalea, Childish Gambino and most electrifyingly, Vic Mensa, all tore shit down. For a show targeted towards the younger generation, they didn't hold anything back.

Tyler, The Creator

We didn't get photos, but Tyler, The Creator seemed like he was everywhere yesterday. Not only did he perform all over the place, including with BadBadNotGood, he also nearly caused a riot at the Thrasher Mag Death Match Showcase, encouraging fans to rush the line because no one would be able to stop them. Oh yeah, and we also ran into him skateboarding on the street in the middle of the afternoon before he hopped back into his van. Never change, Tyler.

Iamsu!

HBK Gang is about to have a monstrous couple months, with both Sage The Gemini and Iamsu! putting out debut albums, but it was Su in particular who tore things down last night. He ran through a bunch of his newer tracks at the Audible Treats Showcase, and even performed songs like Yo Gotti's "Act Right"—produced by HBK's P-Lo—and Sage's monster single "Gas Pedal." The man knows how to perform.

YG, Deniro Farrar, DJ Mustard And Migos

This show was a madhouse, in all the best ways. First of all, before anything went down, Mustard DJ'd for over an hour while Deniro, Migos, Que, SL Jones, and a whole host of other guys just walked around and chilled. And then there was the show itself, which blew everyone away until the Fire Marshall came and chilled things out. Migos for president.

Random Late Night Meetups

Sometimes, when you can't get into a show because there are just so many goddamn people everywhere (welcome to SXSW), you just gotta walk into random places and see what's up. That's what happened at the end of last night, when we walked into a set on 6th Street and met up with the ever-mysterious GoldLink, Atlanta up and comers EarthGang, and New York youngin and MF DOOM-approved spitter Bishop Nehru. Sometimes, things just work out when you least expect them to.
