Lil Wayne Wants To Surprise His Fans
Cash Money Records Vice President of Promotion Mel Smith gloated last October about soon-to-come music from YMCMB. Following Drake's tweet, which hinted at the release of Carter V, we have reason to believe in and further anticipate the fifth installment to Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter LP series. Tunechi isn't going to let us know when the project will descend, though he won't necessarily be following the Beyoncé tactic of dropping it out of nowhere.
“We’re very close to dropping the album,” Smith told the Griffin. “It’s going to be a huge surprise to everyone, it’s an incredible album … I can’t release the date because he wants to surprise people, he [Lil' Wayne] wants his true fan base to get excited but he’s worked extremely hard on it and you won’t be disappointed.”
