John Singleton Is Directing 2Pac’s Biopic
John Singleton (Boyz N The Hood) is reportedly slated to re-write, direct and produce Tupac Shakur's upcoming biopic, this according to Variety.
“Tupac was the guy who I planned to do a lifetime of films with,” said Singleton. “His passing deeply affected my life as well as countless people in this world. His life story is as important to my generation.”
The film will bring 2Pac's rise as one of the biggest hip-hop acts to focus, as well as his still unsolved 1996 murder.
Production for the film is being anticipated for June of this year, though casting has not been announced.
