The National Symphony Orchestra, located in Washington DC, has been dubbed as the orchestra of the capital of the United States. The highly regarded orchestra, which normally puts on classical and pop performances, recently ventured left and into the ever-evolving realm of hip-hop as it announced the week-long celebration of One Mic: Hip-Hop Culture Worldwide.

The commemoration, which will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, pays respects to the works of Nasir "Nas" Jones and the 20-year mark of his debut album, Illmatic. Released on April 19, 1994 via Columbia Records, Illmatic has since been, arguably, one of the greatest Hip-hop albums of all time.

Tickets for the event went on sale December 4, 2013. For more information visit HERE.
