Atlanta’s DJ Nando Passes Away
Earlier this morning, Atlanta heavyweight DJ Nando was said to have died in a single vehicle crash on Route 80 between Morristown and Roswell. In further development, it is now confirmed that he was shot and killed early Tuesday outside his Clayton County home.
Nando, a.k.a. Fernando Torres, was a popular Atlantan who DJed at local gentlemen’s clubs, including Magic City and Onyx and was a member of the Coalition DJs and a chief on the local music scene. A slew of his fellow DJs and star-studded comrades have expressed their grief over social media.
One of hip-hop's most celebrated mixtape masters, DJ Drama, took to Instagram this morning to mourn the loss of his fellow colleague.
