Surely not the first time a rapper has voiced his frustration with a major label and probably not the last. In a recent interview Nipsey Hussle expressed his belief that major labels don't really care about their talent until they blow up. He says the labels put too much emphasis on trying to brand an act rather than let an artist cultivate their own creative ideas.

Giving a little background  info on his Epic/Cinematic that he left a while back, Nipsey says that the label and him just couldn't see eye to eye. After much back and forth, Nipsey says he just couldn't continue and ended up choosing the independent route.

In the clip the rapper also speaks about his upcoming debut LP. Take a look.
