Kendrick Lamar Doesn’t Think “Control” Is A Big Deal

Kendrick Lamar has been on quite a ride after Big Sean leaked “Control,” which featured a polarizing verse that would send waves in hip-hop. Well, just about every New York rapper (even some that were out of town) responded to K.Dot with verses that ranged from excellent to mediocre. Now, the Compton MC is ready to speak on it for the first time.

Tomorrow, the full interview with Big Boy’s neighborhood will air on the West Coast. Lamar will also be on Hot 97 with Peter Rosenberg and Ebro at 7:50 a.m. live. Here’s a snippet of his interview with Big Boy below.

“Nah, honestly, I didn’t know there would be so much speculation behind it," he said. "I just wanted to rap. If anybody that know me doing music, I wanted to just rap.”
