Mobb Deep, Lloyd Banks Rep for Queens at Red Bull World Tour

Last night (September 26) was the launch of the Red Bull World Tour of New York’s five boroughs. Representing Queens, Mobb Deep and former G-Unit label mate Lloyd Banks kicked off celebration at New York City’s Webster Hall.

Hitting the stage first was the Jamaica, Queens's own Lloyd Banks. Rocking all black everything, LB looked ready for war. He started off the night with “I’m So Fly” and followed with a string of tracks from his 2010 comeback LP, Hunger For More 2.

During the performance Banks reminisced on the Mobb’s influence on him.

“The Infamous album was the first I bought as a kid and made me wanna [rap] on my own,” he shared.

Next up Prodigy and Havoc blessed the stage in what was to be an epic performance. The duo revisited their aforementioned seminal 1995 album in full, along with some welcome surprises, including “Hell on Earth (Front Lines),” “Get Away” and “ Outta Control.”

The concert reached a fever pitch when the group rocked out to their classic track, “Quiet Storm,” with fans reciting the song line for line.

“Yo, I could never get enough of it, yo that's my shit I need that shit, to boost my adrenaline,” Prodigy rapped, while the crowd sang along.

As the show came to a Mobb Deep ended with “Shook Ones,” arguably their most popular track to-date, before announcing the name of their new project, The Black Cocaine EP, set to drop on Black Friday (November 25).
