Mike Will Made-It’s ‘Ransom 2’ Project Finally Has a Release Date
And just like that, Mike WiLL Made-It's eagerly anticipated Ransom 2 project has a release date. Last night (March 14), the "Gucci On My" producer announced that his follow-up to 2014's Ransom will be dropping on March 24.
He first hinted at his plan by tweeting out a picture of himself along with the date March 14. Several hours later, he tweeted out a message giving his newest project a definitive release date.
"I use to work a 9 to 5 for equipment to get an album placement, now I'm dropping an album 3/24/2017," the "Black Beatles" producer tweeted yesterday.
The last time Mike WiLL Made-It gave a release date for Ransom 2 was last January when he said the project would be coming out at some point that month. A few weeks later, though, he revealed that he was postponing the project's release in order to get vocals from Gucci Mane, who was incarcerated at the time. Still, the project didn't appear to have a real release date in sight.
About two weeks ago, the super-producer reignited the Ransom 2 hype machine by releasing "Gucci On My," a new banger featuring 21 Savage, YG and Migos. About a week after that, he dropped the official "Gucci On My" video.
The song definitely bumps and only makes us want to hear more bangers from Mike WiLL Made-It, which we now know we'll be getting next Friday (March 24).
