Max B sends out a warning to the rap game in his next song with his brother French Montana.

On Wednesday night (May 29), the Wave God released "Don't Push Me," which is the latest song the jailed rapper has released from behind bars. Max B spits a fresh verse over a sample of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five’s classic song “The Message" alongside his brother French, who also throws down a wavy set of bars.

"Don't push me, cuz I'm close to the edge," I'm not trying to lose my head/ Fuckin' with the wave God, nigga, get shot in the head," Max B raps in the chorus.

"Don't Push Me" is the second song Max B has dropped in eight years. Prior to his latest single, the Wave God dropped his first song of 2019 "Hold On" for his 43rd birthday. According to Rolling Stone, Max was inspired to make his new single not only by the legendary Grandmaster Flash but also Ice Cube, who sampled Flash's instrumental first in his 1992 song "Check Yo Self" featuring Das EFX.

“There’s no more riding music out there right now, that’s some ancient folklore,” Max B told Rolling Stone from jail. “So we gotta put that back in perspective. I was coming with some funk.”

Both songs will appear on Max B's upcoming mixtape with French Montana, Coke Wave 3. It's unclear if Coke Wave 3 is what French was talking about when he said Coke Wave 4 was on the way. Considering that Max B is currently locked up, it's also unclear how involved he will be on the project, or projects. However, if French and aspiring lawyer Kim Kardashian-West are successful in bringing him home from prison earlier than expected, Max could appear on it.

"Me and Kim was talking about getting Max B home from jail," French said of Kim K, who's actively pursuing a law degree." "'Cause she's doing the whole thing with...So, like for her to even reach out and do that I felt like that was powerful."
