While up early with the The Breakfast Club premiering her new single, "Whole Damn Year" from her upcoming album The London Sessions, Mary J. Blige did an interview with the gang and gave everyone the 411 on what's been going on in her career and life. During the sit down, Blige was asked what she thinks of Bobby Shmurda and the singer was immediately excited to talk about Shmurda. "I love that Bobby Shmurda!" said Mary.  "The kids need this, they need to see that feeling. That reminds us of what we were like when we were growing up!..I'm still hip-hop until the day I die. I can't help it, it's in me, it's in my DNA."

Later on, Envy asked the "Real Love" singer about who she is a fan of in the hip-hop world nowadays and Blige responded without hesitation."Drake," said Mary. "He is one of the best of his generation." High praise from someone considered to be one of the best of her generation.
