Nicki Minaj’s Crew Members Were Stabbed After Helping Bartender to Car

Singer-songwriter/producer Marcus Kincy testified against Pierce Boykins Tuesday (Apr. 28) in the,the man on trial for the murder of Nicki Minaj's touring manager De'Von "Day Day" Pickett.

Two of Nicki's crew members, Pickett and Eric Parker, were stabbed outside of West Oak Lane's Che Bar & Grill in Philadelphia on Feb. 18. Pickett was killed while Parker survived after being left in critical condition following the incident. He is now in fair condition, NBC 10 Philadelphia reports.

During his testimony, Kincy stated that an argument started outside of the bar. Apparently, Boykins crew got upset when Pickett made sure a female bartender got to her car safely, which eventually led to the altercation.

In addition to murder, 31-year old Boykins is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, terrorist threats, simple assault and other offenses. The defense claims that Kincy's testimony doesn't provide any evidence to prove Boykins was the one that stabbed Pickett and Parker during the fight. On the other hand, however, a judge says there's enough evidence to hold Boykin on murder charges.

"Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour.” Minaj tweeted on Feb 18. Fabolous also posted an Instagram photo of Pickett and Parker.
